On June 29 - July 1, 2001, The Incipient Shire of Courtlandt Keep (formerly known as Coeur de la Terre), under the kind sponsorship of the Barony of Delftwood invites one & all to its

Celtic Festival

Come celebrate the rich history of the Celtic Peoples with the Incipient Shire of Courtlandt Keep (formerly known as Coeur de la Terre).

We have many activities planned, including a spears only melee, a best wode competition, an exploration of the ancient Irish civil law, (Celtic Court TV), fencing and a bardic circle by the bonfire at the end of the day.

Our Feastocrat, Lady Segeine once again, will be creating a Celtic style feast in honor of this event. The feast will be served out of doors, in the fresh air, and under a tent. We encourage good gentles wishing to partake of the feast to bring their own chairs (tables and some chairs will be provided).

For those who attended our event last year... rest assured. We will have a large tent on site under which we may take refuge from the elements.

Camping space is available, please notify the autocrat by email, or with your reservations, if you wish to stay the nights.

The site is located on private property (and is very discreetly damp) located at 5404 Route 41, Homer, NY 13077. There is ample space for those wishing to camp overnight. Onboard in $9, with Gentles under 12 yrs at half price. Children 4 and under are free. Off-board, which will include the simple lunch sideboard, will be $5. Please send all reservations (and only paid reservations will be honored!) to the autocrat, Lady Diane de Arden. (Autumn Pfister, 40 Miller Street, Cortland, NY 13045, Phone (607) 756-6062, Email amp33@cornell.edu ) Checks should be made payable to "SCA Inc. - Coeur de la Terre". Dietary questions should be referred directly to the Feastocrat (our beloved Seneschal & owner of the site!) Lady Segeine (Bernadette Travis, 607-749-3541, before 10 PM please, or falcon@goodnewscomputing.com)

The site will open at 6 PM on Friday 6/29, and festivities will continue until the last Gentles seek their beds! Anyone still on site after 12 PM on Sunday 7/1 will be gratefully accepted as volunteers for clean-up.
